recent happenings

February has been lovely to me, here are a few updates about goings-on in my life recently! 

My best friend came to visit me the Friday before Valentine's day and surprised me with this rose and a bag of M&M's, he knows me too well :)

I cut most of the blue out of my hair (and got side-bangs) thanks to one of my best friends' dad, who spontaneously handed out haircuts and styling after a delicious home-cooked meal one night. That's me in the red!

I've been a bit gif-obsessed lately when I found out how easy it is to make them (go here!). This girl is my crazy partner in crime and future roommate :3

So far today I've enjoyed pumpkin pancakes for breakfast, sorted through my February birchbox and took some pictures of my bunnies on my bed (I've missed them SO much). I've been feeling inspired with ideas for painting lately so I hope to have time to pursue that!

p.s. I'm home for the weekend, which is why I actually have time to blog... school eats up so much time working on other life endeavors, and blogging is starting to seem like something I just won't have time for when I'm on campus.

burst of inspiration

After a stressful week of schoolwork and essay-writing I jumped at the chance to relax and take an evening to myself :3 Naturally I painted! This was inspired by one of my favorite Jimmy Eat World songs, If You Don't, Don't. Being in the front row watching them perform this (along with the ENTIRE ALBUM it was on for its 10 year anniversary) was one of my favorite experiences, ever. Not to mention I took home the set list from that show too! Alright enough of my reminiscing, I think I'll catch up on some Fringe and Glee episodes I've been slacking on for the rest of the night.
