recent renovations

A while ago I kindly asked Erin from Eef Etc. to review my blog- I'm a blogging noob, she's a blogging pro, so I figured I could benefit from a few of her suggestions. Voila, the blog you're currently seeing is the result! A few things I changed:

• My header; I made it smaller width-wise, and switched fonts so that everything was easier to read.
• My background; too many patterns were happening at once so I switched to a simpler one with more neutral colors, so that my text and About Me photo would really pop out.
• I created my own About Me instead of using the blogger template- the text is a little small, but it'll do for now.
• My sidebar was a mess, so I simplified right right one & added one on the left, with a bunch of cute buttons Erin made (and that you can download for free here!)

I'm so pleased with the result! Updating a blog layout is like starting over, I'm feeling refreshed and ready to blog more frequently.
